Butterfly Pose

Start Butterfly in a seated position, sitting with back straight, bend both knees so they are facing out, and bring the feet together. Hands can rest on the knees. Do not bounce the knees up and down. To modify you can move the feet farther away from the body. For those who are more flexible you can bring the feet closer towards the body. To increase the stretch, slowly lean the body forward taking the nose towards the toes. Only go as far as it is comfortable to go. Taking deep breaths will help you go farther and will allow you to go deeper into the pose.
